The SLAM-Expanded Response (SLAM-ER) is an updated SLAM with a stealthier front section, mid-body folding wings for extended range, and a replacement warhead.  Both the wings and warhead are reportedly from the Tomahawk cruise missile.  Just as with the SLAM, the SLAM-ER uses preprogrammed GPS guidance for midcourse corrections and terminal infrared guidance to impact a target designated by its controller.
